Denton Place Program Offerings

Denton Place Centres for Early Learning has 5 beautiful and bright classrooms and is located on a quiet street just off Victoria Park Ave. We are lucky to be part of a very friendly and vibrant neighborhood with a diverse community and are conveniently located walking distance away from Victoria Park Station. We facilitate Yoga classes throughout the year. We have skilled visitors arrive to implement programs such as Foam Parties, Lego Play, Steel Pans, Get Low Dance, Magicians and more. We also conduct neighborhood walks, visit the local gardens and parks as well as the community centres. We have an incredibly large outdoor play space equipped with play structures and ample room for the children to engage in co-operative play, riding toys and more. The space is completely fenced/gated to ensure optimal safety yet houses large trees to have the children exposed to elements of nature. What are you passionate about: I am passionate about strengthening relationships whether it be with spending quality time with my own family and friends or even providing support to the families and teams at the centre - I think its important for me to connect with the people around me and sustain those partnerships through open communication and with an eagerness to celebrate our individualities and commonalities

One quirky fact about you: Only ONE? I cant pick one….
- I am painfully optimistic says Ms. Urooj to the point of causing actual physical pain
- That I laugh more than I talk and I talk a whole lot according to Mr. Peter
- That I am the definition of quirky in all of its entirety

What are you passionate about: I am passionate about family, and last but not least appearances / presentation; things have to be looking appealing to the eyes at all time. Whether it’s myself/ my surroundings or my work environment i.e. (keeping the faces of children clean.) That is the first thing someone sees when they approach/enter. All this is because my Grandmother always says, “First Impressions are Lasting.”

One quirky fact about you: One quirky fact about me is that I am always on a diet until I see fried chicken

Testimonials

  • My son started daycare at 1 year of age, spending the first year of his life at home during the lockdown.  It wasn’t easy as many other kids, however, staffs at Dawes Road CEL were so helpful and caring he eventually got it easy within the first 3 weeks. The staff members were very supportive and kept me updated with his progress. Especially the himama app helped me be informed of all his activities throughout the day.

I would like to convey my heartfelt gratitude to the staff and management of the center for taking care of my son.

  • The last two and a half years have been wonderful for Asharib. I still remember the 1st day when I dropped him at daycare and how scared we both were. But he had learned so much in the past 2 years & I am glad that I decided to send him to Lori Gardens. Special thanks to all of Asharib’s teachers for taking such good care of him teaching him manners and always trying to make his day fun & exciting. Thank you so much for everything!

  • 45 years of excellence is a great achievement. Congratulations! We will continue to support your growth. Together stronger!
